Awesome TV but....

Pros: excellent value, great price, great quality, easy to setup, looks great, great picture, black blacks.

Cons: freeview issues, delivery price

I purchased this TV some 3 weeks ago, out of the book it looked awesome was easy to assemble. The manual is simplistic and easy to use. The remote is one of the best designs I have seen and used. The set is of far better quality than the price suggests, the menu options are easy to navigate and the setup process was simple. The picture is very good, it is an LCD the blacks are, well black, giving nice colour not garish.

Well pleased with the purchase. However one aggravation, the in built Freeview is the wrong type, can you believe that, basically it will not work if you only have a digital dish like sky, you will need a UHF Arial, with the added expense. I wish Dick Smith's would have pointed this out, would have saved me a lot of trouble.
 

Just wanted to let people know a very good customer support story.

I bought a 2nd hand Sommet Freeview receiver off Trade Me that was a year old, and after a few weeks the analogue audio stopped working. After a couple of emails and attempts to solve the problem, no luck. Even though I'm without a warranty, they're still going to replace my unit.
